Will you let them stop you?

Plenty occurred during the planning and execution of this vid. I had one idea in my head for all these shots and how it would look.

I go to set up for first shot setting up the entire vid and it failed in so many ways. I sat for a while on how to re create idea.

Nothing was coming to mind so I was just about to scrap the idea. However, the theme of the vid was “obstacles” so what other obstacles are there when getting ready to go conquer the day?

I had plenty. So I went for it.

Shots might not be the best because they were not 100% planned, lighting worse than expected, do I have right gear to pull off, skill even!?

All those thoughts occurred as well, but who cares. The point is to create.

This vid will soon be far down in the feed and no longer matter. What will matter will be how I develop and grow.

Letting obstacles stand in my way definitely won’t allow that.

So I ask again will you let them stop you?

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Starting over at 32.
Journal Entry 1

First, off I am not depressed or sad about this. I’m okay with it. All of it. We don’t always choose the right path, but every single one provides a lesson. The last two years were a big one.My “desert moment,” as some could call it.I landed the job. I got the pay I asked for, plus some. The leadership was unlike anything I’d ever seen, and the team was kick-ass. I had a nice house, too. But internally, I felt like shit.

Why?

Because I did it for the wrong reasons. It wasn’t aligned with why I started this creative journey in the first place. What I realized out in TX was that I had built a family back in Kansas City—a place I now know I took for granted.

So now I’m back, starting over at 32. There are many more lessons to come, but I’m incredibly grateful for this one as it closes and the next one begins. I don’t know where it leads, but I’m going to continue to give it my all and grow each day. As a friend, a mentor, a creator, a son, and an overall better human being.

This next chapter includes:
• More stories• More teachings• More art• And most importantly, a stronger community 🙏

I missed you Kansas City! With the @fwc26kansascity prep starting I had to get some before shots because this downtown is about to be much different!

I enjoyed every second just taking in the city sounds and being back not shooting photo but video! Nothing special just some nice static shots but, still I’ve photographed a lot of this city but never clicked record.

One thing I failed at early in my photography stages was attention to detail. Sometimes I get a little obsessive with the car in a scene and would forget there is a lot more to the subject. As I’ve got farther into this journey I’ve realized how that can be so detrimental for a shoot and let a client down. Good thing is failures become lessons and that lesson came into play with this one 🙏

For the 60th anniversary of the 911 Porsche went all out with this one and the shore blue metallic paint brought this one all together!

This 2026 Porsche ST had plenty of that detail! This was beautiful Porsche that’s currently for sale at @chicagomotorcarskc! The car was prepped and ready by @detaildoctorstonganoxie and they killed it! This camera will pick up everything and for those close ups it’s so important to have a proper detail because our eyes won’t see everything.

🔑 to a great roller shot

1. You don’t need to be going extremely fast around 40-50 mph is perfect
2. If chase car not a van, truck or suv use the side of the car to help stable your shot by pressing your arm against door

Two of my favorite and probably riskiest shots I’ve taken. These were not shot on a telephoto lens and they were wild bison off the side of the highway 😬 I got close enough to get their attention and knew that was as far as I was getting. I got my shots then slowly backed up and they went back to eating. It will be a memory I never forget!
